Modern living in a charming cottage

Despite its exposed beams and some wonderful traditional furniture, this beautiful Georgian cottage needed updating to equip it for contemporary family life. I opted for colours and textures that complemented the property's heritage and reupholstered the older furniture. New window treatments helped create more light and space, and decorative accessories (like the cushions by the fireplace) added a touch of warmth and humour.
